A Vertical Gyro (VG) is a type of sensor that measures the angle of tilt or inclination of an object in relation to the earth’s gravity. It is typically used to determine the pitch and roll angles of an aircraft or vehicle, and is often used in combination with other sensors such as accelerometers and magnetometers to provide a complete picture of the object’s orientation and movement. VGs work by using a spinning rotor that is suspended by a gimbal system, and the angle of the rotor relative to the gimbal is used to calculate the tilt angle.
